On Tuesday, 6/15/10, Engine Co. 4 and Medic 1 were toned out for a patient who had passed out and fell off his porch and onto the ground below. Chief 4 and Response 4 were first on scene followed by Medic 1 mintues later. After checking vital signs and level of alertness,it was decided that Air Care 2 should be notified. Wagon 4 responded to the scene to set up the landing zone. AirCare 2 arrived on scene shortly thereafter and the patient was flown to Mary Washington Hospital where he is expected to make a good recovery.
